Electronic ignition armature magneto coil for Sprint, Classic & Quattro engines.
Also used to convert older points system engines to electronic ignition.
Mounting hole centres approx 6.4cm apart.
Ignition Testing
1. Remove the engine cowling and take off the small stop wire from the armature spade connector. Check that the armature is approx. .010" from the flywheel (you may need to play with the gap to achieve the best spark).
2. Re-fit the cowling
3. Remove the spark plug
4. Fit a 19368 spark tester to the suspect cylinder HT Lead.
Turn the engine over at normal starting speed (must be over 350 RPM) and check for a spark across the oversize gap in a dark place.
If there is a spark, the armature is fine.
If the spark stops when the stop wire is re-connected, the stop wire is running to earth somewhere.
